Fallout 4 Crashes On New Game

Ever since Bethesda released the much awaited Fallout 4 back in November last year, there have been numerous complaints about the game suffering from crashes. These crashes have been reported to occur mainly on Windows 10 based PCs, even though PCs running Windows 8 have encountered crashes occasionally too. Users can crashes go through cleaning system junk and optimizing games. One efficient utility that works in this case is ST Cleaner. You can download it from the link below:

Step 1

Fallout 4 Crashes? Download ST Cleaner

In the new window, scroll down until you reach Nvidia Streamer Service - Right Click - Properties then stop the service. Also select Startup type: Disabled afterwards so it doesn’t turn on again. It helps with the in-game performance a lot, but also fixes potential crashes of Fallout 4! Try running the game in windowed mode. I've tried it, messing with iPresentInterval= 0/1/2 and iFPSClamp=61, using NVIDIA Inspector to lock fps, to 55/58/60. With IPresentInterval set to 1 or 2 the game DOES NOT crash but is absolutely unplayable at 20-40 fps and if it is set to 0 the game crashes no matter if the fps is locked or not.

To rectify these crashes, Bethesda released a slew of patches that carried several improvements and bug fixes. These patches also included some new features to keep the gamers interested. However, we still come across people who tell us that the number of Fallout 4 crashes on Windows 10 based PCs haven’t decreased significantly.Keeping that in mind, we have penned down a comprehensive guide that will help you fix crashes occurring on Fallout 4, especially when the game is being run on Windows 10 based PCs. So let’s jump into it.Note: Before proceeding ahead, make sure that you’re running the latest version of your OS as well as drivers for your graphics card.
  1. Go to My Documents.
  2. Now open My Games | Fallout 4.
  3. Inside the Fallout 4 folder, lookout for a file titled ‘Fallout4Prefs.ini’ and open it using Notepad.
  4. You now have to edit multiple entries in order to fix the crashes:
    • bMaximizeWindow= 0 (If the entry is already 0 then ignore it, else change it to 0)
    • bBorderless= 1 (change the entry to 1 if it’s 0)
    • bFull Screen= 0 (if there is any other value instead of 0 then change it to 0)
    • Size H= 1080 and iSize W= 1920 (both values represent the resolution the game is running on. If you believe your PC can handle a higher resolution then change it to your desired value)
  5. Save the changes and make sure you set the file on “read only” mode by right clicking it and going to Properties. This will help ensure that the changes you have made are permanent.

The above tutorial should fix the crashing issue with Fallout 4. If it fails to do so, then we have an alternate method. Cyberlink powerdvd ultra 17 keygen. Make sure you’re running the latest version of Fallout 4 for optimal results.

  1. Launch Fallout 4.
  2. Check out all the graphical options and lower each of them by 1 value.
  3. Run the game and test it for at least an hour.
  4. If the game crashes again, repeat steps 1 and 2, and start all over again.

Due to an ageing engine, Fallout 4 begins to crash when it is running on computers that don’t meet the requirements of the game. Lowering the respective settings should fix the issue.

Content of the article: 'Fallout 4 constant freezing and crashing on Xbox'

Ever since I've started to replay fallout 4 with mods on my Xbox one, the game is constantly crashing. Sometimes it's ever 10 minutes and then others it will go for 1+ hour and be fine and just randomly freeze and/or crash. I'll be in the middle of doing something that isn't very taxing on the game, like running or just regular combat and the whole screen will just freeze in place and won't let me do anything. Music still plays and sound effects still happen but everything else is just frozen. Other times it will just make a buzzing noise and quit the game entirely.

I've completely redone my load order and properly formatted it and I've made sure none of the mods i have installed conflict. All of them work and they are all now in the correct order in my load order but it seems to be crashing even more now. I don't know if this is just on my end or something wrong with the game but it can range from being mildly annoying and only happening sporadically to happening ever 5 minutes and making the game unplayable. If there are any suggestions on how to improve/fix this issue, please let me know
