Hi guys!
I'm running Skyrim on a single 290x on a dell u2711 1440 screen- and I just saw an extremely good deal on a second 290x. The CF option looks very tempting.
However, what's the lowdown these days? I don't mind a lot of tinkering, but can anyone tell me that you really have the thing in 100% working order on current ENB version?

Actually, there is widescreen and super widescreen, e.g, my monitor is wide screen, and what I suggested works, the 21:9 version you helped with yes, but saying oh ignore everyone and saying I am wrong is why I am a bit irritated, and if you actually read the OP, he did not mentioned 21:9, you actually did.

Crossfire works. (Default/AFR, no 1x1)
ENB works.
Crossfire & ENB works.
Performance is good to exceptional on highend cards and Crossfire scaling is in the area of 90%+ with an additional card.
ATI has driver problems though, if crossfire is working, you'll most likely get a flickering face texture. ESPECIALLY if you use SKSE.INI's setting for 2048 facetints.
Edit: You can KIND OF fix this if transparency is set to 0% or 100%. Values around 40% start the flickering. (Warpaints/Tattoos/Freckles)

Skyrim Flawless Widescreen Not Working
  1. Flawless Widescreen does not support every game, but its current list of supported titles includes many popular options, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, Diablo III, and StarCraft II. In addition to providing multi-monitor support for older games, the utility also optimizes the user experience for games that already technically support multiple.
  2. Sep 26, 2020 This is a fix for a Skyrim Special Editon that provides a Widescreen support for Vanilla, SkyUI 5.1 SE Alpha and SkyUI 5.2 SE Alpha Supported resolutions 2560x1080 and 3440x1440.

I was happily using 'Fear' for good CF performance and working DOF and adaptation. But now I've upgraded to W10 and the party is over. Same issues with CF again. Somebody allready tried something to save the world? Hmm, seems ccc is not working when overriding profiles. There is hope
Edit, profiles in CCC hold over after the upgrade, but they don't work and need re-added! Skyrim + enb working like it should

I'm not able to get skyrim to use the 2nd GPU at all and need some help with troubleshooting.
Specs and basic settings:
  • Windows 10 x64
  • i5 2500K @ 4.5GHz
  • 8GB RAM
  • GPU 1- r9 290 - Sapphire Vapor X (comes at 1030MHz stock), primary
  • GPU 2 - r9 290 - XFX Double D (947 MHZ, stock), linked. This used to be the only card before crossfire
  • Monitor - 3440x1440 ultrawide, freesync

Software
  • MSI Afterburner for its OSD (no overdrive) and also have ULPS disabled through its settings.
  • Flawless Widescreen
  • Clockblocker to prevent downclocking
  • I run the game through SKSE launched from Mod Organizer

The issue
GPU 2 is always at 0% utilization, and performance does not increase at all. If anything, I suspect it's less than single GPU.
The second GPU is fully utilized in Witcher 3 with great performance, so I know the GPU works and that crossfire can work. Witcher 3 also shows that MSI afterburner is able to pick up readings from GPU2 correctly.
What I've tried
  1. Changing the driver version -- Catalyst 15.11.1, Crimson 15.11, Crimson 15.12, and Crimson 16.1. All 4 do not show GPU 2 being utilized at all.
  2. Changing Crossfire profiles -- Tried 'Default', 'AFR Optimized', '1x1', Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Skyrim. Still 0%. I could not find a profile for Oblivion.exe to try the 'rename your executable' method.
  3. Disabing / enabling Freesync
  4. Disabling / enabling Frame Pacing
  5. Disabing / enabling ENB
  6. Disabling / enabling Flawless Widescreen
  7. Rebooting
  8. Running the game from the Skyrim launcher rather than MO
  9. Disabling / enabling Frame rate target control

None of the above will bring the second GPU into play. This covers just about everything that I could find in Google.
Is there anything else that I can try?
Are any of you able to successfully run Skyrim in crossfire? And if so, can you please post your specs, monitor resolution, and enb of choice (if any)? Thank you.
EDIT: Solved the issue. bFullScreen was set to 0 in skyrimprefs.ini. I have a feeling that OneTweak sets it to 0 when you have BorderlessWindow=true in OneTweak.ini. I set that to false and bFullScreen to 1, and now crossfire is active. Exteriors are way too bright with enb, so that's something else to figure out.

Whether you’re a newcomer or a veteran to widescreen gaming, it’s a good idea to stay on top of your game with the best software. After years of multi-monitor use, here’s my six must-haves.

1. Nvidia Surround or AMD Eyefinity

The first installation on any multi-monitor setup should be Nvidia Surround or AMD Eyefinity.

The programs will allow you to set your game resolution higher than that of a single screen, so you see it spread across all of them. Without it, using multiple monitors to game is impossible.

Eyefinity and Surround are packaged into the AMD and Nvidia drivers, respectively, so that you shouldn’t have to download anything. Simply search your PC, run the setup processes and you’re good to go.

2. Flawless Widescreen — Fix Widescreen Game Bugs Instantly

If you’ve tried playing on greater resolutions before, I’m sure you know all about the issues with incorrect aspect ratios, black bars, poorly-placed interface elements, and unchangeable fields of view.

You’d normally have to hunt through secluded forums and fiddle with game files to find the solution but this application changes everything.

Renault espace dci workshop manual. With Flawless Widescreen, you’ll be able to glide through a list of over 100 titles and install community-built patches just by clicking a checkbox.

It gets better though. The FOV Fine Adjustment tool lets you pick a field of view with more precision than what the game settings windows allow, perfecting your experience.

Plus, Flawless Widescreen is free for everybody.

3. DisplayFusion — Manage Your Window Mess

If you’re anything like me, you occasionally turn off your high resolution and put up something more useful on the other screens.

DisplayFusion’s mission is to make managing all that easier. In an all in one suite, it’ll provide hundreds of features such as:

  • Multiple taskbars, so that you can remove the one on your gaming screen
  • Quality of life improvements to opening, maximizing and moving windows across monitors
  • Optional hotkeys to instantly switch and move programs
  • The ability to turn down the refresh rate for individual monitors, so you can maximize your game performance.

DisplayFusion is useful even after you close the game. Wallpaper, screensaver, and interface additions make it seem like Windows was made for wide resolutions.

You can pick up DisplayFusion Pro for around $30, but the free version will get you the basics you need if you’re tight on cash.

4. MSI Afterburner Overlay — Monitor Your Performance

With your computer inevitably locked in at full usage, your system is going to get hot and your performance will be a little bumpy.

MSI Afterburner will relieve these worries. It puts all your temperature and performance information up for you to see in the corner of your game, so it's always on-hand.

Normally, overlays slightly intrude on your game but, if you’re rocking a widescreen setup, then you have the screen real estate you need.

Use this to know when you need to drop your game settings to keep system performance steady and temperature cool.

MSI Afterburner is free and comes with some overclocking software. You’ll find the overlay options inside the program.

5. Symless — Add Another Screen

Got a spare laptop? Symless lets you seamlessly combine your devices, allowing you to add an extra screen to your setup.

This is perfect for opening up a walkthrough, playing some background music or keeping a social media application open whilst you game.

Symless can merge Windows, Mac, and Linux devices with a network connection into one, with almost no degradation of performance.

Flawless

Like DisplayFusion, the benefits will leak into your everyday use. Having the option of a little extra space when you need it can be a huge bonus to your work efficiency.

Symless Basic will set you back by $30, but you might make that back in productivity improvement alone. They also offer the Symless Pro package for $40, which lets you copy-paste between devices.

6. Razer Cortex — Improve Performance

Having some trouble holding a decent frame rate with so many monitors? I’ve got your solution.

Razer Cortex shuts down background applications on your computer, giving it more resources to pump into your demanding games. Your results will depend on your computer, programs, and the game, but the results are generally positive.

Opening a game through Cortex is optional. With a bit of trial and error, you can see if it's helping.

If you’re not too keen on a program managing your computer, you can also optimize it yourself by removing the background programs that shouldn’t be running.

These setups can take a bit of effort but it’s all well worth it in the end. Now that you’ve got all the software you need, it’s time to indulge in a game.
